We use the information you provide for legitimate business and service-related purposes, including:

Where consent is required by applicable law, we will seek it before undertaking the relevant activity.
4. Our Website and Service Providers
We use third-party services to operate and maintain parts of our website and communications.
These currently include:
Enquiry form delivery — FormSubmit
Our website uses FormSubmit to deliver enquiry form submissions to our designated email inbox. Information entered into the form may therefore be processed by this service to transmit the enquiry.
Embedded Instagram content — Meta
Our website may display videos or other content embedded from Instagram. Loading embedded content may allow Instagram or its associated services to process technical information or use cookies according to their own settings and policies.
These providers operate under their respective terms and privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies when interacting with their services.
We may introduce or change service providers as our business develops. Where a change materially affects how personal information is handled, we will review and update this policy as appropriate.
5. Cookies, Embedded Content and Website Analytics
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies through its hosting infrastructure or third-party embedded content.
For example, Instagram content embedded on our website may use technologies that allow Meta to recognise activity or collect technical information when the content loads.
The use of these technologies depends on the services and features active on the website at the time of your visit.
We do not claim that a particular advertising, tracking, or analytics tool is active unless it has actually been implemented. If we introduce additional analytics, advertising pixels, or similar technologies, we will update this policy as appropriate and provide any notices or consent mechanisms required by applicable law.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies or embedded content may affect how some website features operate.
6. How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including:
- Responding to enquiries and managing bookings.
- Maintaining relevant business and customer records.
- Meeting applicable legal, accounting, or administrative requirements.
- Resolving disputes and protecting our legitimate business interests.
When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or otherwise handle it in accordance with applicable law.
Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the circumstances of the enquiry or booking.
7. How We Protect and Share Information
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Access to information is limited to situations where it is reasonably necessary for business operations, customer communication, booking management, or legal compliance.
We may disclose relevant information to service providers who help us operate our website or deliver our services. We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information.
Although we take reasonable precautions, no website, electronic communication method, or data-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Sere Selfcare aims to handle personal information in accordance with applicable Kenyan data-protection requirements, including the Data Protection Act, 2019.
Subject to applicable law and any relevant limitations, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of personal information where appropriate.
- Object to certain forms of processing or request restrictions where applicable.
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on your consent.
- Raise a concern about how your information has been handled.
To exercise a privacy right or ask a question about your information, email info@sereselfcare.com. Please describe your request clearly so that we can assess and respond to it.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that lawfully took place before the withdrawal. Some information may also need to be retained where required by law or necessary to resolve a legitimate matter.
9. Photography, Video and Marketing Consent
Sere Selfcare may take photographs or record video during workshops, private experiences, corporate sessions, and brand activations to document the experience or promote our services.
Where we intend to use identifiable photographs, videos, testimonials, or other participant content for public marketing, we will seek consent or establish another lawful basis where permitted by applicable law.
Marketing uses may include:
- Sere Selfcare's website.
- Social media platforms, including Instagram.
- Promotional materials and digital campaigns.
- Presentations, portfolios, and business proposals.
- Recaps of workshops, events, and brand activations.
Your choice matters. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes, please inform our team before the experience begins. Where practical, we will take reasonable steps to respect your preference and communicate it to the team responsible for documenting the event.
For corporate or private group bookings, the organiser's approval to document an event does not automatically replace any individual consent that may be required for identifiable promotional use.
If you previously consented to the use of your image and wish to withdraw that consent, please email info@sereselfcare.com, identifying the relevant content and where you have seen it. We will review your request and take reasonable steps consistent with applicable law.
Please note that content already printed, distributed, reposted by third parties, or stored outside our control may not be possible to retrieve completely. This does not remove our responsibility to handle future use appropriately.
10. Workshop Safety and Participant Responsibilities
Sere Selfcare experiences may involve fragrance oils, candle wax, heated equipment, botanicals, glass containers, open flames, or other materials used in creative activities.
Participants are expected to follow all safety instructions provided by our team.
By participating, you agree to:
- Listen to and follow the facilitator's safety instructions.
- Handle materials and equipment carefully and only as instructed.
- Avoid touching or handling hot wax, heated equipment, or open flames unless expressly instructed to do so.
- Inform our team before the session of any known allergies, fragrance sensitivities, or relevant safety concerns.
- Notify a facilitator promptly if you experience discomfort, an adverse reaction, an injury, or notice an unsafe condition.
- Supervise children or accompanying minors where their participation is permitted and supervision is required.
- Respect other participants, the venue, equipment, and materials.
Allergies and sensitivities
Our experiences may involve scented materials, fragrance oils, botanicals, and other substances that may cause irritation or allergic reactions in some individuals.
Please inform us of known sensitivities before your session. We can discuss available precautions, but we cannot guarantee that every ingredient or fragrance can be eliminated from a workshop environment.
If you have a serious allergy or medical concern, please assess your suitability for the activity and seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.
Nature of our experiences
Our workshops are creative and recreational experiences intended for enjoyment, learning, and self-expression. They are not a substitute for medical treatment, professional healthcare, or therapeutic services.
Safety and responsibility
Participants must act reasonably and follow the instructions provided. Sere Selfcare will take reasonable steps to organise experiences safely and communicate relevant precautions.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded, or to remove any rights that participants have under applicable law.
11. General Booking Terms
Our experiences may be offered to individuals, private groups, corporate clients, and organisations.
Enquiries and quotations
Submitting an enquiry does not automatically create a confirmed booking. We may need to clarify your preferred date, number of guests, experience type, location, budget, or other requirements before providing a quotation.
Any quotation will be subject to the specific details communicated by Sere Selfcare.
Booking confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed once the date, guest count, experience details, and other relevant arrangements have been agreed upon in writing.
Where a deposit, advance payment, or other booking requirement applies, the applicable amount and due date will be communicated as part of the booking confirmation.
Guest numbers and changes
Clients should notify Sere Selfcare atleast 48 hours if the number of participants changes or if other material booking details need to be updated.
Changes may affect the price, materials, staffing, venue arrangements, or availability. We will communicate any applicable adjustments before confirming the change.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate booking information, communicating relevant requirements in a timely manner, and ensuring that participants receive important information about the experience.
For corporate and group bookings, the designated organiser should communicate relevant arrangements and safety instructions to attendees where appropriate.
12. Detailed Booking, Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refund Policy
This section is reserved for the detailed policy to be confirmed by Sere Selfcare.
The specific rules governing deposits, payment deadlines, cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, late changes, no-shows, and cancellations initiated by Sere Selfcare should be inserted here once the business's preferred terms have been confirmed.
Until those details are finalised, clients should refer to the written terms provided with their individual quotation or booking confirmation.
Any booking-specific cancellation, rescheduling, or refund arrangements should be communicated clearly in writing before the booking is finalised. They must also remain consistent with applicable consumer-protection and other relevant laws.
13. Intellectual Property, Client Logos and Third-Party Trademarks
The Sere Selfcare name, branding, original website content, photographs, videos, written materials, and other original creative assets may be protected by intellectual-property laws.
Unless otherwise agreed or permitted by law, these materials may not be copied, reproduced, adapted, or commercially used without appropriate authorisation.
Client logos and brand materials
Sere Selfcare may display client names, company logos, or brand materials in connection with corporate experiences, workshops, activations, portfolios, or project showcases where it has appropriate permission or another lawful basis to do so.
All third-party names, logos, trademarks, and brand assets remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on our website or marketing materials does not, by itself, imply an endorsement, partnership, or sponsorship beyond the relationship actually authorised.
Where permission is required, Sere Selfcare will seek the appropriate authorisation before publishing or using the relevant materials.
Requests concerning third-party content
If you own or represent a brand, logo, photograph, or other material displayed on our website and believe that its use is unauthorised, please contact info@sereselfcare.com.
Please include:
- Your name and contact details.
- The name of the rights holder or organisation you represent.
- A description of the material in question.
- The webpage URL or location where it appears.
- An explanation of your concern and the action you are requesting.
- Any reasonable information demonstrating your authority to make the request.
We will review the request and, where appropriate, take reasonable corrective action, which may include editing, replacing, or removing the material within our control.
Where a request requires further clarification, we may contact you for additional information. We cannot guarantee the removal of copies held or republished independently by third parties.
14. External Websites and Third-Party Services
Our website may contain links to external websites or display embedded content from third-party platforms.
These external services operate independently of Sere Selfcare and may have their own privacy policies, terms, security practices, and content.
We are not responsible for the content or policies of external services that we do not control. Accessing them is subject to their respective terms.
We encourage visitors to review the relevant third-party policies before providing information or interacting with external services.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this page to reflect changes in our business practices, website features, service providers, booking procedures, or applicable legal requirements.
When updates are made, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated revision date where appropriate.
